Living in a freezing house full of angry species.
There's a spider and a mouse hiding in the ceiling.
Got no money for the coal and I'm considering stealing.
Some turf from on the bog back home just to get warm feelings.

But I see the light in all these unpleasent sensations.
And I see the fright in my joy.
And I see the light in all of these dumb situations.
So I will go on like a wound up toy.

The neighbours do their best to threat, they said they'd kill my poor poor pet.
But "Hey" said I "A dog is she" so this time round we did walk free.
But troubles stir across the hedge, one turn of mine they'll have my head.
Love thy neighbour wise men speak, I guess our neighbours missed that speech.

Spin me again, and I'll go like the wind.
When powers out, I'll sit on the ground, and be still.
